Artificial Intelligence Software, Advanced Monitoring and Diagnostics for the Process Industries

A M D

Advanced Monitoring and Diagnostic Software is a G2 based solution for construction of knowledge based (KB) applications for process plants.

AMD is broadly applicable to process industries. It is particulary well suited for applications in Cement, Chemical/Petrochemical, Enviromental, Food/Beverage, Nuclear, Petroleum/Pipeline, Power/Utilities, Process Manufacturing, and Pulp/Paper Plants.

AMD consists of a generic rule base and a series of master templates designed specifically for the process industries.
AMD simplifies construction and maintenance of sophisicated large online real-time KB applications while substanti ally reducing total development time and cost.

Architecture

Functional Layers

Configuration Layer detects and warns of control system configuration errors.
Sensor Layer assesses signal integrity and determines signal validity.
Controller Layer analyzes and evaluates controller behavior under non-alarm and alarm conditions and performs related diagnoses.
Process Layer diagnoses process disturbances by application of engineering principles.
Heuristics Layer applies user entered "rules-of-thumb" and failsafe rules. It automatically invokes failsafe logic to cover situations beyond the scope of AMD and user entered heuristics.

Physical Layers

Core Layer includes a complete generic rule base and a library of process unit object definitions.
Application Layer contains unit specific information, with all instances of instrumentation and hardware plus network communication parameters.

Benefits

Advanced warning of impending alarms
Comprehensive coverage of all manufacture processes
Improved efficiencyof process operations
Improved product quality
Fewer disturbances
Less downtime

All of which contribute to a MAJOR COST SAVINGS
